KANSAS CITY, Mo.,
July 22, 2010 - Cook Composites
and Polymers (CCP) will host a
second training seminar for the
wind energy market on October
27th and 28th. This CCPU event
entitled, "Composites in Wind II",
will be held at CCP's Technology
Center located in Kansas City,
Missouri. CCP and Composites One,
as well as other industry
leaders, will conduct class room
tutorials and product
demonstrations.
Over 70 professionals from the
wind energy industry attended
the last seminar in February.
This latest course has been
added to the CCPU composites
training schedule because of the
overwhelming success from this
first class. Topics covered will
include best practices for wind
blade manufacturing, new
composite materials and
techniques for repair.
Specialists in composite
materials, processing methods
and application equipment will
lead workshops and seminars.
Here are just a few of the
comments from attendees at
February's event:
"The training at the Composites
in Wind Energy laid a firm
foundation for building my
knowledge of composites
materials" Robert Kane , TPI
Composites
"Compared to the myriad of
conferences for the wind market,
this was far and away more
informative, instructive and as
a forumopen!!!",
Josh Crayton, Rope Partner
Todd Blanton,Heartland Energy
Solutions, said "we used the
training from an earlier CCPU
tooling class to build our blade
molds for our start-up in 2009.
We came back to this one to
learn more about Epovia vinyl
ester resins"
"I learned some great things
that I am taking back to our
nacelle plant to implement",
Michelle Jones, Wasuaukee
Composites, Cuba City Division.
Along with the opportunity for
industry networking, a few of
the key areas to be discussed
during these hands-on sessions
included Wind Blade Design,
CCP's latest Epovia Vinyl Ester
Technologies, Reinforcement
Selection, abrasion control
through Hybrid Coating
Technology, and CCP's newly
introduced Structural Bonding
products.
Quality products and superior
technical service have made Cook
Composites and Polymers (CCP) an
international leader in the
composites industry.
Headquartered in Kansas City,
Mo., CCP has manufacturing
facilities throughout the United

The World Wind
Energy
Conference &
Exhibition WWEC,
the leading
event in wind
energy, taking
place in a
different
continent each
year, will be
held in Istanbul,
Turkey, from 15
to 17 June 2010.
The 9th World
Wind Energy
Conference and
Exhibition
WWEC2010, will
be organised by
the World Wind
Energy
Association in
cooperation with
EUROSOLAR Turkey.
The event aims
to set up a
powerful
platform where
the major
players of wind
energy
technologies,
industries and
policies are
gathered
together to
share the latest
technologies and
information
effecting
strategic
decisions.
The special
focus will be on
how to integrate
large capacities
of wind power
into existing
grid
infrastructure
and how to
adjust grid
capacities.
Turkey with 80
GW wind projects
waiting for
permission is an
excellent
example for the
corresponding
challenges and
opportunities
WWEC2010 brings
together the
major players in
th e sector and
